mATERIALS EXPLAINED
Each material has various properties for different application
PLA – Starch Based plastic, good for toys, decorative parts, fast printing, non toxic
PETG – Budget Friendly, uv and water resistant, oil and grease resistant, good for functional parts
ABS- Heat, water, wear and impact resistant, good for function and automotive parts
ASA – Similar properties to ABS but slightly more flexible with added uv resistance, great for parts exposed to constant uv
PA (Nylon) – a few different variations here, PA, PPA PA6, PA12, PPS, All great for end products, automotive parts, great impact,wear,heat,oil,grease and uv resistance. Cons are it is one of the more difficult filaments to print and higher prices
All filament can also be printed with either Carbon fibre or glass fibre reinforcement
